Even after all these years, I can honestly say that I am still in love. Madly in love with the beautiful wrought iron patio furniture set that we inherited from my in-laws. The Wrought iron furniture was their first choice because it lasts so long, easy to maintain, and classic in style. I don’t even remember how many years they had the set before giving it to us, but after 12 years at our house, this set is clearly in for the long haul.
I find it amazing that the same wrought iron that is used on your car can be manipulated with such detail to create a look that is so spectacular. The process is hand made with an epoxy dip and polyester powder coating is baked on to the frames to create timeless weather resistant furniture. The ornamental scrollwork frame is beautiful all on its own, though we did customize our chairs and loungers with tie on cushions to add color to our outdoor decor. Strong and heavy, we have never even thought to move the furniture. Luckily, wrought iron is even durable enough to withstand my eight year old who insists on using the end table as a leap pad into the pool! Only wish that arm rest on the family room couch had faired as well.
The powder black finish and scrolled edges of the pieces continue to adorn our patio and adjacent orchid garden. Our wrought iron hand me downs are not only stylish, they are sure to outlast us all. It’s the gift that keeps on giving. With regular hosing to keep dirt from settling on the surface, our set continues to look like new and will hopefully become a family heirloom that will be enjoyed for generations to come. Oh the stories they would tell. If only the furniture could talk!
