My family spends a lot of time outdoors. Thinking ahead to Spring, when the sun is out and the breeze is pumping, I wanted to create the perfect outdoor lounging area for everyone. Ideally, I would like to be napping in a hammock in the backyard. Unfortunately, our trees are not set up for a traditional hammock. Plus, I wanted a place where my husband and I could escape and cuddle. So, I was off to find another option for my R&R needs. I started my search for a comfortable place to relax and doze off then I opted to add some romance with outdoor furniture made just for two!
Romantic Outdoor Furniture Options
Good and bad news: The good news is there are so many designs out there right now. Beautiful aluminum patio furniture with plush cushions, chaise loungers, round wicker day beds with a canopy – the options are endless. The bad news is that I couldn’t make up my mind! From frames to cushion textiles and colors, I was getting overwhelmed. But then I came across this double day bed lounger set – The Atlantic Double Chaise Day Bed. Absolutely love its sleek design. Simple yet luxurious, this piece would blend in perfectly with the rest of our modern outdoor decor. The fact that it is already set up for cuddling with loved ones was just the icing on the cake!
But before I even showed my husband my idea for our new outdoor furniture pieces, I knew that I needed to test out the loungers myself. When I got to the showroom, I was relieved to find that the cushions were as luxe as they looked in the pictures. Score! And I could choose from lots of colors and patterns to fit my style. The designer and I discussed different sizes, shapes and tilting features of the latest umbrellas and how the latest textiles for custom pillows would add color and character. I even went on to order a couple of garden torches for around the chaise to set the mood for romantic sunsets. Now to let my man in on it – though I’m confident that he will love it as much as I do. You know what they say…happy wife, happy life.
